VCFI COVID-19 Communicable Disease Plan

We are still here for you and are offering services in a variety of ways to help meet your needs during these challenging times. We will continue to offer telehealth services for the majority of our clients and are beginning to open our doors to in-person sessions in a limited capacity. In order to protect the safety of our clients, staff and therapists we have developed the following plan for in-person meetings.

Appointments

  • Review the form entitled Informed Consent for Clients Requesting In-person Services and discuss any questions or concerns.
  • Masking in the therapist’s office will be decided between the client and their therapist.
  • Clients are expected to bring and wear their own masks in the public spaces of our suites (waiting room, hallways, etc.)
  • Only family members who are attending the appointment should come to the office.
  • Clients will sanitize their hands upon entering the suite and clinicians will sanitize their hands between sessions.
  • Appointments will be cancelled or moved to Telehealth if either party show any symptoms of a cold, flu, seasonal allergies or the classic symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., fever, cough, difficulty breathing).
  • If one of us discovers that we have become ill or been exposed to anyone who is infected or tested positive for COVID-19 in the 10 days before or becomes ill or tests positive within 5 days after our session, we will share this information with each other.

In the Office

  • Our staff are fully vaccinated.
  • Therapists will wear their masks in all public spaces. Masking in the therapist’s office will be decided between the therapist and client.
  • A plexiglass barrier has been erected at the reception area.
  • High touch surfaces in the general office and therapy rooms will be disinfected several times throughout the day (e.g., doorknobs, bathroom keys).
  • HEPA air purifiers have been installed in the therapy rooms and main office areas.
